If you’re searching for the perfect cocktail to transition from autumn to winter, try our drink recipe for Spiced Harvest Rum Cider. Spiced rum, nutmeg, cinnamon, and clove infused cider with a hint of lemon give this cocktail a nice balance of sugar and spice.
Although we used Captain Morgan spiced rum, feel free to try a different brand depending on your preference.
Spiced Harvest Rum Cider Cocktail
- Spiced apple cider
- 4 cups apple cider
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- Optional: nutmeg, cloves
- 1 1/2 ounces spiced rum
- 1/2 cup spiced apple cider
- 1/2 cup hard cider
- 2-3 dashes lemon bitters
Combine the apple cider and cinnamon sticks in a container. If using optional spices, add them now. Seal the container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Shake well before using.
To make the cocktail, fill a rocks glass with ice. Pour the spiced rum and spiced apple cider over the ice. Stir well. Top with hard cider and lemon bitters. Garnish with cinnamon sticks and lemon peel.
