Mother’s Day Marketing Tips


Mother’s Day happens to be one of the busiest days of the year for restaurants, so we wanted to provide some tips and tricks for making the day successful, profitable, and fun. 

Offer a Brunch Special

Brunch is a great way to drive traffic to your business and keeps it sustained for most of the early to late afternoon (as brunch is typically offered from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm). This option gives families a chance to have a nice meal as well as attend other Mother’s Day’s events later in the day. Plus, it keeps your restaurant busy. Offer a buffet or pair some of your favorite breakfast and lunch items to create a special Mother’s Day mélange at a discounted price.

Create a Mother’s Day Drink

Keep the mimosas flowing! Drinks are a great way to boost sales. Give your cocktail a fun name and offer a discount on the drink during the designated brunch time. Or, try pairing it with a small food item and giving it a creative name like, “Momosas and Muffins” as a dessert option. 


Offer Discounts

Coupon incentives are effective because customers feel like they are getting a deal and will often spend more than they would have without the discount. Consider offering free desserts, free second drinks or 15-20% off for women only. 

Host Live Music

If you have space, live music is an excellent way to increase traffic and sales. Jazz or acoustic sets the tone for a relaxing day and will make guests feel welcomed and content even if the restaurant is bustling. 

Promote It

Be sure that you are promoting your brunch special, coupons, or special events on all of your social media platforms before the big day. It’s important to get the word out to your guests so you can generate excitement and give them time to make reservations before the restaurant is booked.
